Alaves women's team will play in Mendizorroza in their return to Liga F, with a new home in the Paseo de Cervantes stadium. The team of Andrea Esteban, back in Liga F after signing a comfortable promotion last season, will play their home games in the Paseo de Cervantes stadium. Although the albiazules have faced several matches in the Vitoria football temple throughout their history, they have always done so exceptionally, for key matches or when a larger attendance was expected. The impossibility of using the current Ibaia facilities to host top-tier matches (it would need at least one stand to meet the minimum requirements of the competition) has led the Alaves entity to bet on Mendizorroza as the definitive venue for the 2026-2027 season. Last season, the Paseo de Cervantes stadium already hosted the matches of two teams for several months, when Mirandés played in Vitoria while Anduva was being renovated. In the previous Alaves stage in Primera, between 2021 and 2023, the Gloriosas did indeed play in Ibaia, where a small stand was installed. The Vitorian club has announced, during its subscription campaign, the season ticket for the Gloriosas. It will cost 50 euros for those who are also members of the male team, a reduced price compared to the general price. This and the rest of the details will be announced soon. The definitive change of venue will force the Vitorian women to get used to playing in the main football stadium in the territory. Not so much for the technical conditions of the Paseo de Cervantes field - also natural grass and similar dimensions to their field in Ibaia - but above all because it is a much more imposing environment. And it is that on occasion the scenario has weighed on them in key matches, in which they have preferred Ibaia, where they felt more comfortable. Nevertheless, the move to Mendizorroza fits in with the desire for growth of the women's team, which seeks to stabilize itself in the elite. With a firm bet on Ibaia, Alaves takes a step further in a path that began in 2019, when the Gloriosas played for the first time in Mendizorroza. It was on March 31 and the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw, recorded an attendance of 8,375 spectators. It is the best attendance in a Gloriosas match in Mendizorroza.
