Alaves has reached an agreement with Spartak Moscow for the transfer of Victor Parada, an operation that will leave over six million euros in the club's coffers. The Madrid defender did not train on Wednesday or Thursday with the group and is already traveling to Russia to undergo a medical examination and sign his contract.

What happened?

The figure is far from the 20 million euros of his release clause, set after his last renewal, but at Paseo de Cervantes they consider the proposal to be very positive due to the capital gain generated.

Why is it important for Alaves?

Parada arrived in 2020 from Salzburg, passed through the Alaves youth academy, and this last season consolidated himself in the first team. At 24 years old, the footballer has been used as a left-back and center-back, especially in a five-man defense.

What comes next?

Juan Carlos Carcedo, coach of Spartak, and Francis Cagigao, sports director of the Russian club, have been key in promoting an operation that places Parada among the recent major sales of Alaves. With Alaves currently 14th in La Liga, 43 pts, 11W-10D-17L from 38 games, and a goal difference of -12, the team seeks to strengthen its defense for the next season.
